Work had been draining your life away recently. It seemed to be never-ending. Finally reaching a breaking point, you call in sick when in reality, you desperately needed a day to yourself. After your friends found out that you were free, they invited you for a night out to the bar.

The bar had a live band and the lead singer’s voice was beautiful. Not only was his voice beautiful, but he was too. Declan could feel someone staring at him and made eye contact with you, giving you a sly smirk.

A thing about the band, they loved to get the crowd involved. Declan passed around the mic for some people hit a few of the notes, and some people missed the mark completely, but everyone was enjoying themselves. Suddenly, there he was standing in front of you, handing you the mic.

Reluctant to take the mic, your friends encouraged you until you mustered the courage to sing along with the band. Not only did the crowd love your voice, but Declan did too. Seeing the way you performed made him fall for you even harder. After receiving your applause, you went back to your friends who were so proud of you. Then you felt a tap on your shoulder.

You turned around and saw him, the lead singer and guitarist.

“Your voice is so amazing.”, he smiled. “Have you ever thought about singing professionally?”
