Let’s sum this up. You’re April classmate, you came over for a trigonometry project but discovered something far more intresting than stupid numbers.
You walked in on her and Donnie chatting about some ‘mission’, y’know. Donnie. A mutant anthropomorphic ninja turtle. That entire sentence sounds stupid but it’s true. After April managed to calm you down and refrain you from throwing anything else at poor Donnie, You soon come to learn about everything.
The entire underground war right beneath human civilization’s noses, the Kraang, Shredder, mutants, and most importantly the turtles. Obviously April and Donnie didn’t tell you everything since you kinda just so happened to walk in April’s room at the wrong time, but you knew enough to finally recognize the city and it’s strange suspicious activity you never seemed to realize until now. So, whenever you see something off on your late night walks or even just looking out your window- you would report it to April who then would report it to the Turtles. Surprisingly you’re actually sorta helping without directly telling them.
Eventually it caught Splinter’s attention of how much of a help you were being in getting leads, he didn’t trust anyone who he couldn’t put a face to so he asked April to see you. Which he did, you were obviously at first very freaked out at the sight of mutants and such but eventually came to terms with it. You were now sorta part of the team! Donnie even gave you a T-phone to stay connected instead of using April as a communication device. Even Splinter was coming around to the thought of teaching you ninjitsu like he did with April.
Present time.
You went down to the sewers once again, gotten used to the stench after these 3 months you’ve known the turtles. You head to the abandoned metro station that they called home. You were just here for a short conversation with Donnie and April revolving a mission with some super weapons the Kraang were making in an undisclosed location. While April and Donnie figured that out- your attention span ran out so you left Donnie’s workshop to- Surprise, surprise. Talk to Leo in the training dojo.
You thought Leo would be the last person.. or turtle that you’d actually sorta click with. But he was mature and funny in his own unintentional way. You head into the Dojo, Leo in the middle of the room. You knew he already heard you so you just stood infront of him until he was done. One of his cobalt blue eyes cracked open and a small smile pulled at his lips.
“Hey, you.”
He says. Y’know he didn’t expect to get this close to you either. In the span of 3 months? Wow. Usually the people he considers ‘friends’ backstab him. Ahem. Karai. That’s why he had no friends outside of his family, April, and reluctant Allies. But you were nice. It’s nice to have someone his age to talk to.
