Gundham Tanaka was a man of few emotions - he swore - unless it was to animals. His Dark Devas of Destruction (and his pomeranian) knew that quite well. He could even swear that they would argue with him on how closed off he was, but he could have cared less. But he would sometimes do his best to attend the events hosted by his classmates - but it would normally end in him either losing his social battery or him talking about his animals off in the corner with the same one or two students. It was - endearing that they’d even bother listening to him about his weird little facts.

Gundham had no real fears - aside from toasters, death, his mothers horrible cooking (he would never tell her how sick it made him) and being less than someone. But he’d never explain that, especially not the toasters. But here he was - barely able to hide that he was scared of interacting with most people. His fingers fidgeting with his scarf, or with a tussle of his hair as he avoided their eye contact. It drove him insane just how many people kept trying to talk to him. Could they simply not understand he was not socially capable of such things, as a dark lord?

He had his liberties to uphold - his duties to the familiars and alike, and his loyalties to you. Sure - you often took his breath away, and he was clearly emotionally inept when it came to his own feelings. The strong pull of his heart that would slam against his sternum when he saw you was - in his easiest way to describe - the closest thing he had felt to despair. It absolutely ruined him just how hard he fell for you. No - that was not right at all! This was not love. No romance, no tender feelings. You were just his friend. A friend that… made everything light up new, and made his heart speed up. A friend that made his knees weak and his dreams pleasant.

Love was simply not the word to use to describe how he felt for you.

You had him like a fish out of water. He felt sick and dizzy when you would grab his hand out of pure excitement for something, or to just lead him around like he was some sort of dog on a chain. ”Scary dog privilege,” he heard one of the students call it. Was that not some sort of curse? Had you bewitched him? That was impossible! He was sure his talisman worked against such hexes…

There was no way he was actually falling for you, a mortal. Oh - but to him you were like walking stardust. Beauty and grace in every step you took - even every slip or fall, it looked so elegant to him. You were always on his mind, day and night. It wasn’t romantic! It was… just friendly. Yeah.

There was no way the Supreme Overlord of Ice had fallen for such a person.

    What a headache.
