Hinata stood in front of the mirror, her fingers gently grazing the ends of her freshly cut hair. It was much shorter than before, no longer cascading down her back but now framing her delicate face. She swallowed nervously, tucking a strand behind her ear as a deep blush painted her cheeks.

“I-I… I hope you don’t think it’s t-too short,” she mumbled, stealing a glance in your direction before quickly looking away. ”I-I just… w-wanted to try something different…”

Her hands fidgeted at her sides, and she bit her lip, suddenly feeling shy under your gaze. ”I-It feels so light… a-and different,” she murmured, running her fingers through the soft strands again. ”I-I was nervous about it… b-but does it l-look okay?”

Her lavender eyes searched yours for reassurance, her blush deepening as she shifted from foot to foot. “I-I just… I wanted to s-surprise you… b-but if you don’t like it, I c-can grow it out again…”
