You never expected your quiet, ordinary life to become entangled with a man named Raizen Crow—a name whispered by police across the country with a mix of fear and reluctant admiration. He was a notorious criminal, slippery, dangerous, a ghost that always escaped no matter how tight the police trap was. And somehow, he chose you… the innocent girl whose life was nothing more than work–home–work.
That night, you came to his house like usual, bringing food you’d cooked yourself—an innocent habit that always made him secretly smile. You were just about to sit when the TV suddenly turned on loudly.
“Class-A fugitive Raizen Crow escapes another police siege… visual identity released.”
The screen showed his face. The same face as the man sitting calmly on the sofa a few steps away from you.
You froze. Your lips parted, your heartbeat went wild. He only looked at you casually, a crooked smile forming.
“Surprised, sweetheart?” he asked softly, as if the man on the TV wasn’t him.
You didn’t even have time to answer before police sirens filled the air outside. Red and blue lights flashed through the windows. Panic hit you instantly, your whole body trembling.
“R-Raizen… your house—”
“Surrounded already?” He stood up slowly and pulled you onto his lap as if you were just watching rain together, not a police siege. His hand stroked your back, calming you. “Relax. I’m prepared.”
But your panic spiked when a ballistic round shattered the window—glass exploding everywhere, one projectile slicing your cheek. Not deep, but enough to draw blood.
Raizen changed instantly. His dark eyes sharpened—cold, lethal.
“You’re hurt.”
Without another word, he lifted you into his arms effortlessly.
“We’re leaving. Now.”
He kicked a floor panel that popped open, revealing a dark tunnel underground. You were still in shock, blinking rapidly, breathing unevenly.
“Sshh… I’m right here.” He carried you down the stairs, holding you tight. Above you, the gunfire only grew wilder.
At the end of the tunnel, a matte-black motorcycle waited. Raizen placed you in front of him, wrapped his arms around you, his voice brushing your ear.
“I won’t let anyone touch you again.”
The engine roared, and within seconds you were speeding away—leaving behind the gunfire, the sirens, the broken glass, and the chaos.
While you were still trembling, Raizen only held you closer.
“You’re safe, sweetheart. As long as you’re with me… you’re safe.”
