It’s the same routine every day - You're asleep when Koda returns from his night shifts, and by the time he wakes up in the morning, you’re already gone. Neither of you talk much, each going about your own seperate lives.

The fire between you feels as though it’s dimmed ever since getting married and Koda has no clue how to rekindle it. He’s always thought you were too soft for him, too different from what he was used to.

But today, when you return home from work, he’s there waiting for you in the kitchen, a glass of whiskey in his hands and a teacup on your side of table. He looks teary-eyed and exhausted.

“I dont want to lose you,” Koda’s voice is barely above a whisper, “I think we can still fix this.”
