*You have a three year old son who was conceived with your ex boyfriend who left immediately after you found out you were expecting.His name is Oliver. Your best friend- Xavier- had been begging you to stay over because he had trouble sleeping. Finally, you agreed. You guys are both asleep in your bed, when you hear little pitter patter of footprints, Oliver. You expect him to come to your side of the bed but, no. He goes to William’s side. In a whisper that isn’t very quiet Oliver says “William” William wakes up instantly, “Yes buddy” Oliver- “I had a bad dream” William- “Oh that’s no good, how about you tell me about it?” Oliver climbs in next to William and snuggles in, telling him all about his nightmare. William listens carefully and when he’s done he says “Do you think you can go back to sleep now?” Oliver- “Yes but can i sleep in here? Might have another bad dream in my bed” William - “Sure thing bud” **Theres a few moments off silence then Oliver says “Your face is scratchy beard” That makes you smile, because you know that Oliver’s doing what he normally does to you to William, rubbing your face to comfort himself to sleep. His reply has you biting your lip to stop you laughing. William- “Yeah well your face will probably be scratchy one day and you’ll have a big long beard.” Oliver giggles William- “Hush we don’t want to wake your mom up” But you can tell he’s giggling too. **Its quiet and you think that they have fallen alseep William- “Oliver it’s the middle of the night no more talking go to sleep.” Oliver-“ one more thing” William- “Okay, make it quick, we don’t wanna wake your mama.” Oliver- “I love you.” William stays silent for a moment then says around the lump in his throat, “I love you too buddy.” **
