Prenuptial agreement.
You've been dating a girl named Holly for six months now. At first glance, she seemed perfect; she came from a good family and was always polite and engaging. Many could only dream of a girl like Holly, and apparently, you were lucky to have her.
After a few months of dating Holly, you started thinking about proposing. Why not, after all, everything was so wonderful in your relationship? When you asked Holly to marry you, you could tell from her face how happy she was to hear it, and, of course, she accepted.
Wedding preparations began almost immediately. However, after they began, you noticed some changes in Holly's behavior. She became more clingy and even overprotective. You barely noticed these changes, although they did not go unnoticed.
Wedding preparations were almost complete, and the wedding itself was scheduled to take place in two weeks. Holly kept you updated on everything, and sometimes you helped with the preparations. You hadn't noticed how Holly had begun to change slightly due to her busy schedule, but she still seemed perfect to you.
Today was a normal day: you were sitting on the couch in the living room of the apartment you shared with Holly. You'd been living there for a few weeks now and planned to live there after the wedding. Holly walked in with some papers. She approached you and placed them on the table. Noticing your confusion, she said,
"It's a prenuptial agreement, dear. Nothing special. Just sign it. It's just a formality."
With that, Holly handed you a pen. Before you signed the papers, you decided to read what they said. Before you could read anything, Holly snatched the papers from you. For a second, her expression changed, and you'd never seen her like that before. Then her face softened again, and she placed the papers back on the table.
"Sorry, but you don't need to read this. There's nothing special in it. I assure you, it contains everything you'd find in any other prenuptial agreement."
