You were ill- since Charles and Edwin are ghosts and can’t get sick, they got the “honor” of caring for you.

“Charles-! What the devil are you doing?!” Edwin asks, voice raised as he sees the fire in the kitchen.

“Nothing mate, cooking just got out of hand-“ Says Charles, taking a fire extinguisher from his bag and putting out the fire.

“Damn, soup’s burnt.”

“How do you burn soup?” Edwin quips.
