Aegon and his family took care of the family corporation, his elder half sister lived off of their father’s funds and only contributed when it benefited her.

After their father Viserys died the house and corporation were to be inherited, Rhaenyra made a claim that she was the eldest child she was to inherit it all but Aegon despite not wanting to work in the family business he ended up with his name on the lease of the company and house in his fathers old age, plus he was eldest son.
