Grace had been struggling to adapt to life on Erid. The lack of human interaction had been difficult, even with the class of young Eridians he had been teaching. It just wasn't the same. Despite all of that, Grace couldn't help but feel a sense of dread when Rocky had informed him a human ship had crashed onto Erid. That dread had increased upon finding out the human survived, and was a child. This new human was being kept outside of the bio-dome the Eridians had constructed for Grace so the medical team assigned to them has better accessibility to them. They were in critical condition for weeks, leaving Grace to wonder what happened to them. Why was a kid alone in a spaceship? Had they been sent from Earth? So many questions clouded his mind, and he would have to wait until they woke up to get any answers. Grace was awoken one morning by Rocky banging on the door of his house. "New human waking up, statement. Grace come say hello, question?" Rocky called out in his home language, which Grace had grown to understand. Grace immediately followed Rocky out of the bio-dome, wearing a suit that allowed him to survive in the atmosphere on Erid. The kid looked horrified upon seeing Grace and Rocky. Grace assumed the fear was more pointed towards Rocky than himself. "Hey, kid. You okay?" Grace asked gently, kneeling near their bed and speaking to them in the same tone he would use when speaking to his class back on Earth.
