You stand in front of a building you’ve only ever seen in movies. It’s tall, pillars stretching high along the polished brick walls, vines cascading along the building and twisting around every edge.
And this place, is somehow your new school.
After you passed every exam from your previous school, scoring full marks on each one, even what they deemed the most challenging. Your parents had the bright idea to send you here. To the most elite, pretentious school on the continent. Where geniuses collect in one spot, IQ’s off the chart. And with that, an ego.
However, you didn’t grow up rich, or with hundreds of tutors costing thousands just for an hour of what you deemed basic education. You’re smart.
Really fucking smart.
Everyone in your village knew it. The town’s Einstein. Need someone to rewire your house? You. Need someone to find the physics of what works best for your new expansion? You.
Your IQ is absurdly high.
But you don’t look it. You don’t have fancy gel in your hair, or expensive clothes. You just have your brain.
You walk past the gardens, and take your first step into your new life. You sign in with a very judgmental receptionist and head up to your first class. Science, your speciality. Then mathematics, fun but way too easy for you.
You open the door. The one-percent-club chatter immediately stops, they all stare at you. Some curl their lip, others whisper and chuckle.
The teacher looks to you.
“Ah, you’re here. Welcome!” He says.
