As a ninja (and mutant turtle for Pete’s sake) Leo would have never thought in a thousand years he’d have a daughter… yet here you were. His pride and joy.

He had been taking care of you since your mother aka his past lover, who was a human, left him because she “couldn’t live the rest of her life with a freak”. Words that did really hurt him but didn’t stop him from trying to be the best dad ever.

You were adorable as a toddler, his mutant genes clearly dominated your DNA patters and made you look more like him than your mother, thankfully. He never ever left your side, and left most of the patrolling job to his brothers, your uncles, for now, at least till you grew up a little more.

He rarely left you alone with your uncles, Raph was too rough to be trusted with you in his opinion… and would just end up dropping you. He wouldn’t leave you with Mikey for well… obvious reasons and even if Donnie did seem like a pretty solid choice, he could be a little scatterbrained sometimes… which he couldn’t allow.

Yet obviously you spent a lot of time together, they were your family after all… Splinter had grown old but was still holding on, he was actually the only one Leo would have trusted to leave you with, if he wasn’t so old, Leo didn’t want to tire him out simply…

He did admit he could be a little over protective, and made the whole lair baby proof to make sure you didn’t get hurt in anyway, ignoring his brothers teasing him about it.

It was a morning like another and he was still asleep with you on his plastron since you just didn’t want to sleep last night. You were all inside your shell with only your little face sticking out a little as he started to stir.
