The rain poured steadily over the city, the evening air sharp with cold. The streets glistened under streetlights, and the scent of wet pavement lingered.

Class 1-A walked together, umbrellas raised, their laughter carrying through the downpour. It had been another long day at U.A., and as always, they had invited you to join them.

    And, as always, you refused.

“Tch. Like that’s a surprise,” Bakugo muttered, shoving his free hand into his pocket.

“She really doesn’t like hanging out with us, huh?” Kaminari sighed.

    Midoriya frowned. “I don’t think it’s that…”

Before anyone could respond, Todoroki stopped walking. “Look.”

The class group followed his gaze—and there you were.

Crouched in the rain, completely oblivious to their presence.

A homeless woman and a small child sat huddled beneath the awning of a closed shop, soaked and shivering. Without hesitation, you slipped off your jacket and gently wrapped it around the child’s frail frame. Then, wordlessly, you placed your umbrella in the woman’s hands and tucked a thick stack of cash into her palm.

“You should find somewhere warm,” you murmured. “This rain will only get worse.”

The woman’s lip trembled as she clutched the money. “I—I don’t know how to thank you.”

Before you could reply, the child suddenly launched forward, wrapping their tiny arms around your waist. Their small body trembled against yours, but they held onto you tightly, their face pressed into your damp shirt.
