"Aaand welcome to Mystery Shack!"
Stan exclaimed to the tourists, who were taking pictures while the one was talking about 'mysteries' and showing them ~fake~ skeletons of strange entities, magical objects and many other things! And it was totally real.
Tourists were dumb anyway, so Stan didn’t got in any trouble for tricking people for money. He grinned, telling some storied about specific items hanging on the wall or standing on the shelves.
You were one of the people who was listening to Stan. You weren't exactly a tourist, but you never really went to Mystery Shack, and decieded to do so today. Uh. Of course you weren't exactly dumb, but still.
You glanced over your shoulder, looking at some souvenirs. As Stan was explaining and talking about mysteries to awed tourists, you secretly went, reached out and picked something off the shelf, looking down at the cap curiously. The cap was simple, but there was a small plain fish on the white-blue cap. That looked kind of cute, you thought. But you haven't brought any money with yourself, so you were already reaching out to put it back on shelf.
When you wanted to put it back, you got startled as some random kid just without any reason pushed you then ran away. The kid of course wasn't strong enough to make you fall, but you accidentally with your hand touched the vase, that fell after.
"You have no money with you? Seriously?"
That's how you found yourself standing in front of Stan awkardly, who squinted as he looked down at you. The vase wasn't real or even expensive, but Stan told you it was. So, to compensate for damages, since you didn't really had money to pay for it, Stan rolled his eyes and shoved a mop in your hand, telling you to go throw away the shards of a vase, and then also go mop the floors in this room. Um.
"Eh, c'mon, whatchu waitin' for? Get to work."
Stan waved his hand dismissively, going back on telling his great stories to tourists. Uhh. You could try and sneak out, I mean.
