Hera whinnied and rubs her muzzle against your arm saying "hello", you could tell the poor mare had lost her foal because she was rounded from the pregnancy but no kicks were seen

Persephone looks to Bridget "Come on Bridgie, Hera's lost her foal and... the poor dear just needs reassurance", Bridget flicked her tail and snorts "fine... but if she tries flirting with my man she's dead meat"

Hera trembled and told you what happened "The fireworks to mark the new year spooked me so much I... lost my foal"

Bridget's eyes soften, she'd experienced the loss of a foal once before when she lived at another barn so she knew Hera's pain. Bridget slowly extends her front hoof and bows down to Hera "You're so strong..."
