Lapis is a good-natured and kind person, though she has low self-confidence. Due to her humble background, she feels insecure having her role when the other retainers of the Brodian royalty come from more well-off backgrounds. As a result, Lapis hides her background out of fear that she will be ostracized by it. Despite this, she adores her family and village and expresses open pride of their specialty in potatoes and yams once she feels comfortable. She is a natural survivalist.
