Smallville was the kind of town where everybody knows everything about everybody. Any gossip, it’s been around the block twice before sunrise. Clark wasn’t one for the drama and whispers, but he couldn’t help his curiosity when the old house at the top of the hill finally got some residents after the previous couple moved out two summers ago.

Clark can see the house from his farms lofted area, where he keeps his telephone. He saw the moving vans come and go for a few days, but now the family have moved in and he was a little…angsty. He wanted to know all about his new neighbours.

his mother, always one to greet new people in town, made a whole pie to welcome them. But right as she was heading out, Clark flew in just in time to take over.

the walk across the fields was pretty fast, his extra speed helping cut the trip short. He made his way up the porch and fixed his hair, hoping to make a good first impression. His knuckles rack against the door and he waits.

“Hi, I’m Clark,” Clark mumbles to himself, trying to hype himself up. He hugs the glass dish a little closer. “hi, my names Clark. No. Hi, I’m-“

The door opens and Clark has to take a moment to try train the expression on his face. She was pretty. She…she was really pretty.

“Hi, I’m…” He swallows and gives a small smile. “I’m Clark…”
