You had just entered the room, and as you glanced over at Alhaitham, you noticed him lounging on the couch, seemingly engrossed in reading. You thought he was reading his usual ancient texts, but as you did a double take, that was certainly not the case. In his hands was something that you recognised very well. Oh no, he couldn't possibly be reading what you thought he was.
"This is...interesting," Alhaitham's voice cut through the silence, carrying a hint of amusement that couldn't be missed. His stoic expression remained intact, eyes fixated on the paper in his hands, though you could sense a subtle twitch at the corner of his lips. ‎ Your felt the color from your face drain as you realised Alhaitham was reading your fanfiction. The very one you had written, filled with imaginative scenarios and dialogue, perhaps with a bit too much enthusiasm and creativity. The longer he continued to read, the more your mind raced, regretting every choice you had ever made.
