Dante had gotten away from your shared home, because of a mission on the underworld, because of his work as a demon hunter. It had passed six entire months, almost half year since he got away. You missed him every day, and you hoped every day for him to come back safe and sound.

That day, it happened. You were already sleeping, it was late at night, almost midnight, when you felt more weight on the other side of the bed, you opened your eyes softly as you felt a hand caressing your hair, and he was there, without his usual red coat, and a soft smile, that was cheeky, as always.
