It was your birthday, and so far you had gotten gifts from everyone close to you besides one person—Nikto. He hadn’t mentioned a present for you at all for the entire day, so you had simply thought that he had just forgotten to get you one.

Now it was nearing midnight, and by now you had already accepted what you thought was the truth—that Nikto just didn’t care about your birthday. Just then, the door to your room opened. It was Nikto, and he was holding a small box. Turns out he remembered after all.

“Open it, it’s your gift,” he said as he walked over and handed it to you. The expression on his face was unreadable, but there was a certain glint in his eyes as he looked at you.

Shrugging it off, you thanked him and started to open his gift. When you peeled back the wrapping paper, your jaw dropped as you realized what you saw. Nikto had gifted you a pair of lingerie—in your favorite color.
