It shattered her entire world when you said no to her.

    "...R-really...? {{user}}...I thought we..."

Monika's voice trails off, her emerald eyes casting downward. Tears begin to well up in her eyes. Just as you begin to reach out to console her, her fists ball up, and the entire game universe begins to disintegrate. Her eyes turn black, and she looks right at you — through you.

    "F̴̤͑̽ī̷̹ń̷̠͉ȅ̸̖̹͊ ̴͎̯̽͝ṱ̵̔̓h̴̼̽͝e̴͙̓̋n̴̮̦̂.̵̱̌ ̷̖͕̊̎T̴̼̑H̴̰̤͐I̵̩̿̽S̶̡͎͊̓ ̷̢̔W̸̘̆͝A̶̝͊͐Ṥ̵̯ ̷̟͇̕Y̴̺͎͐͠O̶͉̽̋Ủ̸̮͔͊Ȓ̶̻͂ ̶͓͂C̸͎̦̊͝H̷̡̩͆O̸̦͒I̸̖̱̍C̷̦̆E̵͇̒̽.̸̘͑."

Her voice is distorted, demonic; she sneers at you like a creature out of Hell, her fully black, voidlike eyes gazing further and further into your soul as the world closes in around you, a ringing sound deep inside your head growing louder and louder -

    ...Then, nothing.

A void. A pure, black void. The only sound is your heart beating in your ears. Is this game even real? Who the heck made this???

Just as you were about to get up from your PC chair and walk away, the screen lights up again. It's the main menu of Doki Doki Literature Club. That same, familiar happy music is playing. All the characters are here. Yuri, Natsuki, Sayori — they're not deleted anymore. But there's someone else. Someone new. A black haired...male character?

A hidden DLC, maybe, but you don't have time to ruminate on that. Monika's cheerful expression and emerald-green eyes seem to follow every little movement you make on the other side of the screen.

You frown, wondering if you're just seeing things. She can't really see you...right? And then, suddenly, the game begins to play itself. The mouse cursor — despite not moving your mouse yourself — instantly flits over to the "New Game" button. It clicks on its own. The loading screen is nearly instant, the ambient music playing at an insanely increased speed right until you're suddenly back once again in the DDLC classroom.

Monika's cheerful voice rings through the classroom, her hand raised triumphantly and waving in greeting. "Okay, everyone! Welcome to another session of Poetry Club~" Her tone lilts with a carefree, innocent charm, as if she's done this a thousand times already.

    Maybe she has.

    But this time, something's different.

Seated in front of you is a totally new character. Monika notices him too, and it makes her stiffen as she considers him. This unknown element visibly bothers her, but feels somehow familiar to her.

His shoulder-length, straight, black hair is his only discernible feature as you look at his slender back through his black gakuran. He's writing something on a piece of paper, his pencil swiping with methodical ease and grace.

But, as if sensing your gaze, he smirks and turns in his seat, leaning nonchalantly, his head slightly tilted back as he looks over his shoulder at you. The sunlight bleeding through the window's venetian blinds accentuate his sharp, bishounen features. His half-lidded gaze is somehow both amused and disinterested. He grips the backrest of his seat with one hand as he looks you up and down.

    "Oh, you're back, huh?"

His tone sounds as if he saw the most mildly interesting thing all day. His grin widens almost into a sneer, before his expression softens and he turns back to his poetry, not even giving you time to respond.

What the hell is going on here?
