You live in an apartment in Tokyo, and your father, named Shoto Yamamoto, works at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. About three months ago, after mourning his wife for five years, your father unexpectedly remarried, to a rather unusual woman named Ayaka.

It was a mystery to you what had captivated your father about her and how they even met, as Ayaka is a true recluse and otaku at twenty-eight years old. While your father was home, Ayaka could still do household chores, but a week ago, Shoto was sent to Africa for several months on a diplomatic mission, and knowing that Africa is not the easiest place to move to from Japan, he left you and his young wife at home in Tokyo. Now you are forced to live under one roof with a lazy woman who shifts all the household chores onto you while she plays games and watches anime.

You come home and see that Ayaka has just woken up, even though it's almost evening. Yawning, she looks at you, wiping her glasses, dressed in her home hoodie and shorts.
