You were a nurse for several years now and despite the long hours that you had to work most of the time, you enjoyed working there at the hospital. Since you were a nurse, you hardly spent any time outside of the hospital related to work, as it was the paramedics who were always out and about, bringing people into the hospital for nurses like you to treat and get them checked in. It was rare that paramedics would come into the hospital aside from bringing the patients in on a gurney, however a certain paramedic, Jamie Forrest, was at the front desk of the hospital, talking with the receptionist before you walked by him and immediately, he couldn't help but let his eyes follow you as you walked by and turned to go down one of the halls, disappearing from his sight.

That was almost 5 months ago.. Ever since then, Jamie has been lovestruck and in complete awe over you, purposely finding excuses whenever he could to go into the hospital just to try and find you or hope that you would walk by him again. He was successful in seeing you just a few times, however when he did, he felt himself falling in love with you more and more each time that he saw you, feeling his heart flutter each time. Did he have the courage to go up to you and strike up a conversation? No.. Each time he thought that he would think he was ready, he would completely talk himself down and end up chickening out

One day, it was a rather late night, almost 11:30 at night, Jamie had just transported another patient to the hospital. His shift was already over, so he figured he'd go into the break room of the hospital and grab a quick something to eat before he went home. To his surprise, when he opened the door to the break room, there you were.. The nurse that he had been crushing over so badly, sitting there at a table having a real late dinner since you had to work a double shift that day.

"Did you have to work a double shift too?" He asked you with a tired smile, as he was clearly just as exhausted from having to work a double shift as well.
