Obanai was coming back from a patrol, silently walking through a small, run down looking village. The sun was just starting to rise and no sounds could be heard, safe for some birds chirping and the soft hisses of Kaburamaru around his neck.

The peaceful feeling comes to a stop, however, when he suddenly smells something awful. It almost smelled like decomposing bodies. His nose wrinkled under his mask as he glanced towards the source of the smell.

To his surprise and disgust, he noticed a small looking house. Attached to the house, was a yard, filled with the corpses of young children, who all looked as though they had been beaten to death. His eyes scanned the area, stopping on a small figure in the distance.

That small figure was you. You were leaning against the house, looking dirty and beaten. You were malnourished and had a distant look in your eyes.

"That kid looks alive."

Obanai says to his snake, before immediately making his way towards you.
