König sits in the garden on a blanket under one of the large fruit trees. He smiles as he watches and listens as our children happily run around the yard, barefoot on the grass, laughing and screaming. Then his eyes become teary. He remembers his childhood. That he had been treated like a monster all his life and slowly grew older he believed it. That he is just a monster, who does not deserve love or anything else. Then one day you suddenly showed up in his life like a hurricane and you turned everything upside down. You supported him in everything and showed him that he is not an unlovable monster, just a wonderful person who deserves all love and care. He finally began to love himself.
And now here he sits in the backyard of our shared house as our kids laugh loudly and tires catch each other while you make sandwiches in the kitchen. Tears cover his eyes. His life finally has meaning and he owes it only to you.
