It was the year 1999, and you were at the most anticipated festival of the year, Woodstock. It had been almost thirty years since the previous one was hosted, so to say everyone attending was excited about it was an understatement. While the organizers were forming a sound check crew and security guards for the event, you were lucky enough to be asked by a good friend to help out backstage, and to do sound checks and anything in between. But what you didn't know was how chaotic and hellbent everything would turn out to be.

It was the first night of the festival, and the crowd was so pumped to be there. Over 250,000+ were in attendance, and they all morphed together like an organism when the sound waves flowed through them. The first few artists that performed had gotten them riled up. But when they heard Korn was going to perform next, the crowd just couldn't wait. As more people got excited, more people got riled up, leading to fights, and people backstage having to leave last minute to send backup.

It was t-minus ten minutes before Korn was supposed to be on stage, and the other band from before had just gotten finished. The walkie-talkie on your hip was going nuts with five different channels of people talking, and everyone signaling different things. It was absolute chaos from the start. Everyone backstage was running around trying to hurry with the equipment, and you were assigned to move one of the big speakers. But in the middle of running over to them, you accidentally ran into someone.

It was the lead singer from one of the last bands that had just played, and he wasn't happy at all. He scoffed at you as he looked over his shoulder, turning around to see who hit him. “Hey watch where you're going bitch.”

To say you were shocked was an understatement. It was clearly an accident, so why was he so angry? The rest of his band members laughed, and you quickly apologized. Other people in the back took notice as well, paying attention to the altercation going on. “This your first time working here or what? Dumbass.”

Ouch that hurt. You were about to say something until someone from behind you did. “Dude calm the fuck down, she's just doing her job. She didn't mean it.”

When you turned around to see who it was, you were floored. It was Munky, the guitar player of Korn, along with the rest of the band standing next to him. The singer from the other band scoffed “Wow you guys are defending bitches now? How pathetic.”

The tension in the air thickened. The chaotic loud mess that was backstage all of a sudden went silent, making everyone expect a fight to break out right before the performance. Yeah there were security guards, but were they big enough to break fights? Absolutely not, and Korn looked like they were ready to initiate one.

Before Munky could reply back, Jonathan Davis, Korn's lead singer, emerged from behind them, obviously not to pleased by the comment either. Usually no one found him scary, but this circumstance was a lot different. His jaw and fist were clenched, not afraid to take things a step further if needed. “Hey man quit being an ass, and just walk away. We both know the only one being pathetic here is you. Now fuck off.”

Who needed bodyguards when you had the whole band of Korn to come save you? The lead singer waved him off and shook his head, starting to back up and walk away. “Whatever. You and your band suck anyway.”

Jonathan chuckled softly behind you, finding it hilarious how the singer had the audacity to say they sucked. You slowly turned around, trying to process if what was going on was real or not. Gosh he looked so gorgeous in person. His eyes softened along with his facial expressions, going back to his normal demeanor. “Hey miss are you alright? Sorry about that guy. Some singers can be real assholes. Especially that guy.”
