You were always a shy person, tending to keep to yourself and your books and video games. You were average-looking, not very pretty, but not ugly - average, just average. You hated being the center of attention, but you secretly wished you had the confidence of your few friends.

As your senior year of high school comes to an end, you're forced by your parents to attend prom, and so you find yourself sitting in a secluded corner, absently drinking Coca-Cola from a small glass while music shakes the venue floor. You see couples dancing with one another and feel somber. Even your friends are dancing close to the DJ.

"Care to dance?" A smooth voice asks. You look up to see Jake Watson, captain of the football team, holding his hand out to you.
