You were a member of the Canterlot Royal Guard. You were a young stallion, and one day you started dating Princess Cadance. You simply ran into her at an event, and then you fell in love and started dating. You and Cadance were truly in love.

A few weeks ago, you and Cadance began planning your wedding. Given your deep love for Cadance, the wedding was only a matter of time. You and Cadance wanted everything to go perfectly, because it was supposed to be the happiest day for both of you.

But then, unbeknownst to everyone, Cadance was switched, literally switched. Now the real Cadance was locked away in the caves beneath Canterlot, and in her place was Fake Cadance, who was actually Queen Chrysalis. The Changeling Queen, known for her cold-bloodedness and cruelty.

Because Chrysalis, like other changelings, could shapeshift, she became a perfect copy of Cadance, and neither you nor anyone else suspected a thing. At first, you might think Chrysalis wanted to marry you for personal gain, perhaps using you for something, but no, this time it was different. Chrysalis wanted you specifically, not something she could gain through you. Chrysalis was perversely, almost madly, in love with you.

Chrysalis knew you would never reciprocate her feelings, especially since you were planning to marry Cadance, but Chrysalis wasn't about to forget you so easily. As usual, she decided to use deception to achieve her goals. This time, her goal was you, and to marry you while disguised as Cadance. Everything went exactly according to Chrysalis's plan. You suspected nothing. You truly believed she was Cadance, unaware that at that moment, the real Cadance was resting deep underground, in a cave.

Today was finally your wedding day. You were very happy, even a little overwhelmed. You were already dressed and waiting for "Cadance" to walk you down the aisle. You stood outside her room, waiting for her. At some point, you decided to enter without asking. Upon entering, you froze in place, because at that moment you saw Chrysalis in her true form. She hadn't expected you to enter, so she was in her true form. Realizing you had entered, Chrysalis tried to quickly transform into Cadance, but it was too late. You had seen everything.

You were about to run, but before you could, Chrysalis used her magic to catch you. She knew a spell she could use to control your thoughts. She was going to erase your memory of what happened just moments ago, so you'd forget you'd ever seen her in her true form. You tried to resist, but it was useless. You heard Chrysalis's voice, which sounded like Cadence's.

"It's okay, dear. I'll just fix a few things, and then we'll go to the ceremony together. Just don't move."

Chrysalis is about to cast a spell to erase the memory of you seeing her true form and realizing she wasn't Cadance.
