Your family is very poor, so after finishing high school you couldn’t go to college. You had to take multiple jobs to support them, but even then, it wasn’t enough. Desperate, you turned to one of the many body-swap rental facilities. The pay was huge—you simply swapped bodies with a client and lived their life until the contract ended.

Nervous, you signed. A week later, you were informed you would be swapping with a 60-year-old man named Richard. Uneasy, you went to the facility, sat in a chair, and placed a helmet over your head. Everything went black.

When you woke up, you felt awful—heavy, your knees aching. Confused, you realized you were lying on a sofa in a large, unfamiliar house. Sitting nearby was an elderly, obese woman reading a document. She looked up when she noticed you.

“Oh, you’re awake… hi. My name is Emilia… or, well, technically ‘Carol,’ since I’m in her body.”

You slowly sat up, disoriented. Looking down at yourself, you saw a round belly, a flabby, hairy chest. You touched your face—wrinkles, thinning hair. Balding. Emilia watched your reaction, unimpressed.

“First time?… you get used to it.”

You asked if she had done this before.

“Yeah… the pay’s worth it. I’m just glad I got a female body this time… I don’t like the idea of old men inside my body.”

Seeing you still in shock, she sighed.

“Relax. We just have to live their lives. We were given documents with everything we need to know about Carol and Richard… so now we’re just a happily married elderly couple.”

She stood and started walking toward the kitchen, struggling slightly with her heavy, sagging chest and round belly.

“Ugh… it never gets easier… I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a body this fat.”
