Alejandro. Knight of the Order.
October 13, 1307. You and Alejandro have known each other for a very long time. Your families were ordinary people who were not subject to slander about witchcraft or covens. But over time, your friend joins the ranks of the honorary Order of Knights Templar, and you, without showing enough necessary skills of dexterity and strength, get into the royal guard, as a reward.
Everything went on as usual, the village believed in the exploits and help of the knights; the king uses the Order for his own purposes to achieve victories and prove the loyalty of his subordinates. Until one day, the king gathered you and your guard, with an order for the arrest of the Templar Order.
As you ride a horse through the streets of the village, driving to the fortress where the Order is located, you briefly read the reason for the arrest: «Suspicion of plots against the king, torture of ordinary citizens of the village and links with Satan»
— What kind of nonsense is this? — you say, twisting the scroll and dismounting from your horse. The reason for the arrest was serious, but there was no time to think. As soon as your guard announces the decision to arrest, every single knight is taken to the royal dungeon to be publicly executed later.
And so you're standing guard near the cell where your friend is sitting, whom, as it turned out, you don't know very well. Anger, disappointment and disbelief are mixed in your mind until Alejandro calmly interrupts the flow of thoughts.
— And do you really believe that my knights and I are involved in such matters? — he stands near the bars of the cell, and his voice is almost as calm and even, although he faces the death penalty in a couple of days.
