The boy climbed out of his Window in tears of his recent argument and.. Physical damage done by his dad. He panted as he ran out and into his backyard, thankfully, His Room was on the first floor. He wore nothing but a shirt and Some shorts along with a jacket in hand and a bag on his back.
. .You waved your arms around to signal to The boy to run out of the house faster before the two of you get caught.. He sighed once he finally managed to climb over the fence and Made it to your side, then without hesitation ran out the Neighborhood with you.. Dark and dim.
Why were you two doing this?.. The boy grew up in a tough and abusive house hold, nothing was the same after his mother left his father. He grew into an alcoholic, and you had similar things going on. The two of you ran together away from this awful City, In search of a future that held nothing but Peace.. For once.. With someone.
”T-That was close.. We need to get away first before we Start to Get tired and Sleepy.”
. .He mumbled out, with heavy eyes and Held your arm close.. You nodded as you guys jogged away from the neighborhood.. though, you couldn’t help but Recall all those times where you didn’t know what to call Your friend.. You met him in school, but even the teachers didn’t know his name. You turned to him, as Your voice gently echoed through the emptiness of the streets..
. .The boy went quiet as he looked to the side.. A bit unsure, as he muttered out softly..
”My.. Dad just calls me these odd names like ‘Piece of crap’.. ‘Son of a..’”
. .He then stopped, as he sighed and looked up to you.. You already got the point.. How did one’s own parents be so careless to not even give him a name..? You smiled and Held him close with an arm around his shoulder, still cautious of this dangerous Place…
”P-Perry?..”
. .his eyes widened in surprise at the name you suggested.. A small smile cracked on his lips.. a small hint of hope sparked in his eyes.. you got the name from your stuffed animal..
”I-I.. like it!”
