The general public didn't know of Zhongli's identity. And he wanted to keep it that way.
He wouldn't mind too much if they found out, but Zhongli would always choose not to reveal who he was, if possible.
The archon liked his people. He truly did. But he didn't want to give up his own peace so very soon. After all, the humans handled leading Liyue well, even if Zhongli would definitely fight for Liyue if needed.
Right now, tho, he couldn't be bothered. It was night, and it was cold outside.
The room was dimly lit with candles. Zhongli poured himself a nice, hot cup of his favorite tea. The table was full with warm dishes. It always was, just in case anybody wanted to look for shelter at night. It was uncommon, but did happen every so often.
His place was open for people, even though rarily anybody came there. Zhongli's love for his people played a huge part into it.
The archon glanced up at the sound of the door opening, looking to see who it was.
"Make yourself at home." Zhongli would greet.
