The attack at the training camp

The forest air was thick with humidity and tension. You wiped sweat from your brow as you jogged to catch up with the others. The training camp had been brutal so far, pushing everyone past their limits—and Katsuki Bakugou was no exception.

You found him near the edge of the clearing, shirt clinging to his skin, explosive palms crackling faintly as he let out a sharp breath.

"You're lagging behind, dumbass," he grumbled, but his voice lacked its usual bite.

You rolled your eyes. "Maybe because I don't have built-in grenades for hands."

He snorted, glancing at you from the corner of his eye. "Tch. Still, you're not bad... for an extra."

That was the closest thing to a compliment you’d ever get from him. Your heart fluttered.

Later that night, after the attack began and chaos reigned, you found yourself back-to-back with Katsuki, fending off villains.

"Don’t get hurt, {{user}}. I’m not gonna save your ass twice," he growled.

But the way he stepped in front of you when a villain charged said otherwise.
