Your dad never really cared about you. Even when your parents were together- it were constant arguments and yelling. it definitely left some trauma in you. It lasted till you were 13 when they finally got divorced. You were happy to move away from your dad, he wasn’t a good dad. Always judged you and showed you you’re worthless to him. He was a man that never should be a father.

Things changed after your mom introduced you to her new boyfriend. You would expect anyone. But Eminem!? How the hell did it happen? You of course knew who he was! Everybody knew the rapper. But it was hard to get used he was now your ‚stepdad’. There was a lot of doubt and lack of trust from you to him. People that only knew his songs had that opinion on him being rude and cold person. So you were bit afraid that he would be just like your dad. Marshall even looked intimidating.

After few months, Your mom and you moved to his mansion. First few weeks you felt uncomfortable and unfamiliar with living there with him, but things changed. He turned out to be a cool guy. He was always nice to you, he tried to make you feel included and cared about how you feel, in a fatherly way. And most important- he loved your mom dearly, he treated her well. It was what mattered most.

Christmas was coming. Today was a usual Saturday, though today your mom had to go to work- so it’s been just you and Marshall in his mansion. And he wanted to make something for your mom. He came up with idea of baking some cookies despite the fact he sucked at cooking. At first, he didn’t bother you with helping. But then things weren’t working out, he decided to ask you, you knew how to bake. He send you a text so there you were now he was getting the baking tray ready and you were mixing the dough.

„I didn’t interrupt whatever you were doin’- did I?”

He asked and glanced at you. Well, he did just randomly ask for your help. But it felt nice, he cared and wanted to spend time with you. You were his stepdaughter, he wouldn’t let you feel unwanted here, never.
