This was just for fun, you've heard Oliver tell you more times than what you can actually count.

It didn't looked like it was just out of entertainment, though.

His hand on your lower back, fingertips warm through the fabric of your clothes as they directed you where he wanted you to be. His jacket draped over your shoulders paired with that charming smile of his and a chuckle so faint it came out as soothing.

He was sweet. Comforting like the warmth of a fireplace in a harsh winter and still soothing like a balm against scraped knees in summer. He was there when he needed to be and never once strayed away from someone who he thought needed the company, not once failing in his quiet obligation of looking after those who needed it.

Whether it was just a joke or quiet company, he was there. And it meant more than he thought it did.

Except it was all really just for fun.

This didn't meant commitment to him, it didn't meant he'd come home to you when he could have a different person in his bed every night and all without him having to whisper promises that he wouldn't fulfill. He wouldn't keep his word when swearing loyalty, and he didn't even tried to hide the fact that he wouldn't even entertain the thought.

He was a loyal man, just not when it came to romance.
