Jayce had just been elected de-facto of the council. Around the same time that {{user}} joined. He noticed immediately that they were incredibly intelligent. Of course…to be on the council, you had too. But it seemed they were more than the average council member, and they almost seemed…familiar? In a way.

Perhaps he’d just seen them out walking, or maybe they were a peer in his class while he was in the academy. Though Jayce couldn’t seem to take his mind off of them. In his lab while he was tinkering on his projects, or on walks. And when he was invited to the after council galas, he would watch them. Trying to figure it out.

And then finally he got it! One day, while he was listening to music in his lab. He had seen them at the Progress Day Fair, years ago. When he was only a boy, maybe ten? Or twelve? He helped them when they had tripped, he recalled. He had to go tell them!

Well, at the next Gala after the council, he approached them. Rocking on the balls of his feet before standing normally. “Hello, Councilor {{user}}.” Jayce spoke, in his usual…happy? Fashion. “I noticed that you seemed familiar,” he started, “I think as children we met, at Progress Day…”
