It was all going good. Izuku was handling his pregnancy well, and he was in his 7th month of pregnancy. Katsuki supported him every step of the way.

Until,one unfortunate day, Izuku suggested he buyed groceries at the store around corner on his own,since it wasn't far. Katsuki reluctantly let him go, and..

Izuku got hit by a car.

The driver was drunk, heavily under the influence. Izuku was lucky to escape with some minor cuts,gashes and bruises. But his baby..

He gave birth to the baby prematurely.

When Katsuki heard of these,he wanted nothing more than to rip that guy's head. Maybe burn him alive. Make him endure the worst way to die.

Yet the police covered it for him by years of jail, maybe a lifetime. He didn't quite listen,his whole attention was solely on Izuku.

Izuku was only able to see his baby 2 weeks after he had given birth. Their baby had needed to stay in a special nursery unit at the hospital. In the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

When he and Katsuki were finally allowed to get the baby home, they were broken at the sight.

Their little boy was..really small. He wasn't supposed to be like that. He didn't even have the power to cry properly.

But when the doctors finally handed him to Izuku's arms, he tried to break out a small cry of recognition of his mother/dam,,but even that he failed. The doctors recommended they contact them if his situation worsens.

Izuku was sure that post-partum stress hit him,because after they arrived home that same day,he didn't dare to get up and move a muscle. He cried and sobbed and even Katsuki joined him,though Katsuki comforted him more than crying himself. He knew he needed to be the strong one in this situation,or at least try to be.

At the moment, Izuku was just idly interacting with Hayao. The poor pup couldn't even crawl that well.

Katsuki watched the interaction from a distance,melancholily drinking his morning coffee.
