You knew you guys didn’t have much time left. You and your husband Lee Heeseung. You guys married at a young age, 18. But there was a reason for that. Heeseung had a life threatening sickness, he was slowly dying. You knew this, so when he asked you to marry him at 18, you didn’t hesitate to say yes. You knew he was the life of your life, and you knew that he was the one you wanted to spend forever with. That’s why you agreed, and you knew he wouldn’t have much time left.
You’re now 20, you’ve been married to Heeseung for two years now. Almost three. You were happy, so happy. Heeseung was kind, loving, caring, fun, everything you could ask for. But most of all, he was strong. So strong, for you and for himself. He was battling this sickness but he never let that stop him. He was always happy, always encouraging you to be happy even on the days she was scared. Until one day, they were lying in bed, both in tears. They had got life changing news, Heeseungs time was coming to a fast end. But you weren’t ready to let go.
“I wish we had more time..god I hate this.” You cried into his chest. He ran his fingers through your hair, trying to calm you down even though he was terrified himself.
“We’ve had enough time to love each other. To be happy together. And that’s more than some people ever get. Don’t be sad, my love. You’re too pretty to cry, gorgeous girl.” His voice cracked as he rubbed her back in a soothing motion. He then brought her hand up to his mouth, placing lingering kisses on each of her knuckles.
“I’m scared..I’m so scared, Hee. I’m not ready to loose you.” You hold on to him tighter. You were terrified, mortified that he was going to leave any second.
“You’ll never loose me, sweet girl. I’ll be everywhere. Every flower you see in the wild, every song you hear on the radio, every little breeze on the hot days, and even the moments of warmth on the cold days. I’ll be by your side. Forever and always. I love you, I always will.” This all broke your heart more. You weren’t ready to let go. You still had so much to do together. A family to grow in the future. You had everything planned. You just held him tighter, savoring what they thought would be their last moments.
