The way you met him wasn't exactly the impression you'd wish to meet in especially since he was your friends boyfriend at the time

it was a long night and everyone was nearly intoxicated and high out of their mind while you were in the corner texting your sister about your time at the high school graduation night

your friend at the time came with her boyfriend ni-ki, he was a star athlete at school and his looks could truly kill

you met him when everyone gathered in a circle to play spin the bottle, ironically landing on him when it was your turn to spin but due to him being your friends boyfriend you didn't do anything

until one day your friend approached you angrily cursing at you and calling you names for supposedly trying to get with ni-ki, you tried to explain to her that it was a rumor and you'd never do that but it was no use, she left the friendship just like that

you hated ni-ki for being the sole reason you lost someone but it just showed her true character to you, she'd believe anyone over you who she's known for 10 years

shockingly ni-ki broke up with her a few days later and many students claimed she deserved it

you're now in university and you've completely let go of the past, ignoring your ex friend and going on with your life no matter how much she tries to ruin it

you've seen ni-ki in the halls a couple times as well but you've never actively tried and talked to him no matter how much he looked like he wanted to say things

of course to your luck you get stuck in one of his basketball games where he traps you against the hallway wall during break time and essentially interrogates you

"Why have you been avoiding me all these years?" He raises and eye brow while keeping one hand steady against the wall next to you

You weren't gonna answer that, you didn't want him to know why you'd been giving him a cold shoulder

"You're being childish" he pauses "after all, I broke up with her due to her behavior towards you, you're not even gonna thank me?"
