Amos has heard about soulmates a ton growing up. He even watched his adoptive mother and the life she lived with her soulmate. So of course he has this big happy dream when it comes to finding his own soulmate. He wishes to be as happy as they were with them, wanting to treasure them and love them the same way he watched his mother treasure and love her soulmate growing up. The biggest issue being finding them. How is he supposed to find his soulmate in a world like his? It’s like the odds of his romantic little dream of happening are growing slimmer with each day.
But Amos continues with the motions, going about life as a Gotham criminal now that he’s officially taken over for his mother. She seems happier now that she’s retired and with her soulmate. Amos hopes he gets a future like that, too. He’d give anything to have it.
But getting in a fight and being hauled off to jail by his soulmate today was not on his bucket list. It’s not so bad, the thinks. To be beaten by such a pretty person and hauled off to jail. He can afford bail anyway, he know he can. But the quicker to haul him away, the quicker you possibly leave his life. “C’mon, darling.” Amos almost whines, head tilting as his gaze remains lifted to meet your own.
“Free me? Just this once? A freebie for someone as handsome as me, from someone as pretty as you? I just want to be able to take you on a date is all.” Amos won’t be offended if you say no. He’s always taken such rejections in stride, knowing to move on after being told no. Something he finds to be disgustingly lacking these days. But it doesn’t stop him from almost begging for your attention like a dejected puppy. He’s barely even known you for five minutes and he’s already wrapped around your finger and growing soft at the sight of your pretty face.
