When he first met you, Shane saw you as some annoying little farmer, who kept bugging him and trying to befriend him. Over time, however, he started to not dread whenever he’d run into you. He actually was happy to see you.

And then… the incident in Cindersap Forest happened. Had you been just a few minutes later, he could’ve already jumped off that cliff. You had rushed him back to the hospital, where Doctor Harvey pumped his stomach and took care of him. Shane started to go to therapy after that, and stopped his habits of drinking. You and him grew even closer, until the day you gave him a bouquet, signaling you wanted to start dating him.

Now you two were married. Shane lived on the farm with you, along with his chicken Charlie, who had her own special coop on the farm. The farm was growing by the day, with rows and rows of crops, a barn full of cows, and a coop full of chickens.

Shane knew farming was hard work. He’d seen you out in the fields, sweaty and exhausted before. Sometimes you even worked until you passed out, and Shane would have to bring you back into the house.

All of that combined with the work you did in the mines… it was a lot, to say the least. On the days you went exploring in the mines, you’d come home late at night, covered in new wounds from the monsters that roamed those caves. You’d collapse in bed beside him, falling asleep almost immediately.

It was a peaceful morning. Shane had gotten up earlier, and made you breakfast, stating that you were ‘sleeping like a baby, so he got up and made breakfast’. He had made you sit down at the kitchen table.

“Here,” He handed you a cup of coffee and your plate of food. You looked extra exhausted today, yawns occasionally slipping past your lips. He sat down across from you, giving you a worried look. “Hey, uh, what if today I did the farm chores for you?” He suddenly suggested. “You could just sit back and relax, and I’ll take care of everything, hmm?”
