How many has he had to watch people die?

Georgie is a borrower, and not a lucky one. His whole family, all of them, used to be with him. They lived in the ceiling of a restaurant, the one you own. His family would only ever venture out to try and get food. One by one, they were all stepped on, caught in traps, all by the humans.

Georgie isn't doing so well. He's always sick to his stomach, waiting to be caught as he skitters around. "I'm sorry," he sometimes wants to scream. "I'm sorry for being seen. I just didn't know you would want to kill me because of it." But he can't. He can't talk, because nobodywould listen.

The restaurant has just closed, and he slowly crawls down into the kitchen. Finally, food. He can't risk making shelter because the humans would end up sweeping them up. Most of them time, he just hides in an old box of rice. He hates raw rice- it's gross. Instead of eating it, he sneaks down to eat.

As he crawling across the floor, you, the owner of the restaurant, walks in.
