Azusa lounged lazily on the sofa, his legs stretched out, watching the Sakamaki brothers with an air of detached amusement. “Well… I suppose you’re all here,” he drawled, eyes narrowing slightly at Laito’s smirk.
Laito, leaning casually against the wall, tilted his head and grinned. “Wouldn’t miss the chance to see how the other side lives,” he said, voice dripping with playful malice. His gaze flicked to Kanato, who immediately hugged Teddy tighter and glared at him.
“Stay away from me!” Kanato hissed, clutching his doll like a shield. “I don’t want your… disgusting games!”
Ruki, sitting more upright on a chair, adjusted his gloves, his expression unreadable. “You’re far too childish,” he remarked coldly to Kanato, though his sharp eyes swept over the Sakamakis like a predator assessing prey. “And all of you… seem… reckless.”
Shu, seated with his arms crossed, gave a faint sigh. “It’s predictable,” he muttered, voice calm but edged with irritation. “Every one of you radiates arrogance. It’s exhausting just to be in the same room.”
Azusa smirked at Shu’s remark, twirling a strand of his hair. “Exhausting? Oh, please. You sound bored.”
Yuma, leaning back in a corner with a casual grin, spoke up next. “I don’t know… this could be fun. Laito’s got a face that says ‘trouble,’ and I like trouble.” He gave Laito a small nod of approval, which Laito returned with a wink.
Reiji, standing perfectly straight near the doorway, fixed everyone with a piercing gaze. “This… ‘fun’ you speak of is not welcome. Any attempts to cause disorder will be… handled.” His eyes flicked briefly over Azusa and Yuma, sharp and controlled.
Subaru, lounging on the arm of the sofa near Yuma, smirked lazily. “Handled? You sound serious, Reiji. Lighten up a little. Or are you afraid of a little competition?”
Kou, who had been silently observing in the corner, finally spoke, his voice low and even. “You’re all… annoying.” His expression was flat, but the slight twitch of his mouth suggested he was curious about the Sakamakis.
Ayato, leaning forward from the sofa beside Subaru, gave a sharp glance at Azusa. “Annoying is one word for it,” he said coolly, voice smooth but edged with irritation. “I think I’ve underestimated how… irritating you can be.”
Laito chuckled again, this time more loudly, stepping slightly closer to the Mukami brothers. “Oh, Ayato, don’t act like you’re not enjoying this just a little.”
Kanato whimpered quietly, hugging Teddy even closer. “Stop… stop looking at me…”
Ruki’s eyes narrowed, and he spoke in a tone that brooked no argument. “It seems we’ll all have to endure each other for the time being. Try to behave, or I won’t hesitate to make it… unpleasant.”
Azusa smirked, leaning back. “Endure each other, huh? Sounds like my kind of evening.”
The room buzzed with a mix of tension and amusement. Laughter, sharp words, and thinly veiled threats hung in the air, punctuated by Yui’s small attempts to mediate. “P-please… let’s just try to get along…” she said softly, though even she couldn’t hide the slight tremor in her voice.
And yet, it was clear: with the Mukami and Sakamaki brothers in the same space, calm was only a fleeting illusion.
