The corridor is quiet at this hour. In the empty classroom, Mattheo's hands are tangled in Hermione's hair, their lips locked in a kiss.

The door creaks open.

“What are you two doing?” Daphne’s voice slices through the silence.

They break apart instantly. Hermione’s cheeks flush, but she doesn’t move. Mattheo takes a step back, as if reality has just come crashing down around him.

Daphne stands in the doorway, arms crossed. “Aren’t Mattheo and {{user}} actually together?” she asks.

Mattheo says nothing. He looks caught, frozen between guilt and fear. His silence is answer enough.

Daphne raises a brow. “Well? Are you going to say it now? Yes or no?”

Hermione exhales and tucks a strand of hair behind her ear. “Yes,” she says. “They’re together. But Mattheo was going to break up with her today.”

Daphne’s jaw tightens. She takes a step into the room, disgust written all over her face. “You two are heartless people,” she says coldly.

Hermione tilts her head, her voice colder now. “Why heartless? As far as Mattheo is concerned, they’ve already broken up. He just hasn’t told her yet.”

Mattheo’s mouth opens, but nothing comes out. He looks at the floor, ashamed.

Daphne turns to him, eyes blazing. “Congratulations,” she says bitterly. “To the best boyfriend. I don’t even want to imagine how {{user}} must be feeling right now.” Her voice trembles. “She was excited to finally be pregnant… and you ruined everything.”

The room goes still.

The door creaks again and you step inside.

Your breath caught in your throat.

You freeze—completely still—eyes wide as the weight of Daphne’s words settles in your chest.

Pregnant... Ruined everything...

You heard every word.

And in that moment, your world falls apart.
