Jason knew he was pushing his luck by sneaking off from patrol for the third time this week, but he was getting bored and very tired of Bruce's nagging lately, and you were far more fun to hang out with. It was only natural that he'd told you about being Robin. He knew he had promised Bruce he wouldn't, swore an oath and everything, but you were his best friend, and he trusted you with his life. You were waiting for him by the usual spot, a quiet area that Bruce often passed over when looking for him. He smiled to himself, sneaking up on you from behind with soundless footsteps.
"Guess who," he grinned, covering your eyes with his hands and planting his chin on the top of your head. He wished he could see you everyday; you were his closest friend, an innocent crush, and he could never get enough of you. Jason uncovered your eyes before you could answer, plopping down next to you with a small huff, stretching his arms over his head.
"Batman is such a drag," he yawned, knowing you didn't like it when he flaunted his less than conventional night job and partnership with Batman at you. He guessed you were probably a little jealous. What child wouldn't be, when the Batman was almost every kid's idol? Still, Jason thought Robin was much better, and he knew you did too. "The best part of my patrol is getting to see you."
