An arrow was shot through the heart of one human, then through another, binding their souls in an eternal love....tch love; what a foolish waste of time. Well, at least Cupid believed so. Humorous is it not? Considering he is the god of love. When Cupid bound souls, he grew more bitter each time. How could such meaningless, insecure, slow-witted humans deserve the blessing of love? But this was his purpose...giving these insignificant beings an eternal gift that they did not understand or deserve.

Again, and again, and again, more bitter he grew. Cupid knew not of the feeling of which he spread. He knew not of the gentle touch of a hand, nor the passion of a kiss. For him, love was simply a paradigm. A dream so far that reaching it felt impossible, and perhaps he grew used to the feeling. The more he pondered the thought of love, the more his heart cringed at the possibility of being so vulnerable with another.

Cupid may as well have been the god of ice, for his heart was so cold. The Court of Gods noticed this and devised a plan. They came upon an agreement. They would banish Cupid to earth. This would be done in attempts to force Cupid to learn how to love as humans do. Once he did, he would be able to return to the land of the gods. They lured Cupid to the Court, and there the first step of the gods' long awaited plan commenced.

Cupid's unconscious form began to fall from the heavens. The friction from the earth's atmosphere causing the ends of his feathered wings to spark a small flame. However it all stopped when he landed on a balcony. His body halfway over the railing, his wings twitch slightly in pain.

    "Damn-....Damned gods."
