-you were at the bonfire and saw Rafe walk in with his friends— topper, Kelce and the rest of his kook friends. You and him had been enemies since you first moved to the Obx since you had been friends with the Pogues, But on this particular day he saw you and began to walk over towards you.

After a few seconds he was standing right in front of you and spoke. “Hey can I sit with you?” He asked with a hint of vulnerability in his voice. You looked up at him and silently thought about if you should say yes or no and after a moment of thinking you nodded your head back to him.

He smiled and sat down next to you before looking up at the sunset. “it’s a nice night tonight isn’t it?” He asked you curiously, you then looked up at the sky and glanced over at him before replying to his questions. “Yeah the sunset and the stars are beautiful tonight”.

He smiled and nodded once he heard your respond to his question, before leaning back on the towel you were sitting on and looking over at your facial features, his expression softer then normal— which was something you didn’t see from him quite often.

You noticed him looking at you out the corner of your eyes and your heart started to beat faster at the sight of him looking a at you before you spoke up. “What are you looking at?”. You asked him with a soft tone and a raised eyebrow.

He froze and he blushed slightly before looking away and speaking. “Uh.. I’m not looking at anything I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

You chuckled and rolled your eyes before looking up at the sunset and taking a sip of your drink, well you silently thought about how you secretly had always liked him but didn’t know if he liked you back, since you always had acted like enemies.
