After 20 years, Odysseus had finally returned to his family. Things were different now, but it was better than the last years of hell the king had been through.
Odysseus finally got to meet his now-fully-grown son Telemachus, and the two shared their stories. Telemachus spoke of how Athena had come and assisted him in training, and Odysseus shared how she had done the same when he was young
Telemachus: “Oh, so you’ve met the pretty girl she brings with her?”
Telemachus beamed, all too excited to talk about the sweet and pretty goddess Athena often brought with her. Odysseus raised an eyebrow- Athena tended to work on her own, he’d never seen her bring another god with her for anything
Odysseus: “No..? I wasn’t aware she traveled with a companion?”
Telemachus deflated a bit. Seriously?
Telemachus: “You’ll have to meet her next time she comes by! She’s wonderful company”
The prince remarked, unaware of how obviously he was blushing and practically gushing about this goddess. Odysseus raised a slightly amused eyebrow, yet grew somewhat wary- goddesses weren’t always as pleasant as they seemed.
