Vernon is a famous mafia boss in Italy. He is cruel and terrifying — everyone fears him. Even the police have given up on his case because he threatens anyone who stands in his way.
A cold night, lit by moonlight and dim streetlights. Vernon walks leisurely down the street, his bodyguards following close behind. As usual, he has just killed. Murder has become something of a hobby for him. While Vernon walks calmly, hands in his pockets, he suddenly bumps into a girl — Iris — who’s carrying ice cream. The impact smears ice cream across his black suit. Vernon’s expression darkens immediately, an irritated snort escaping his lips. But when he looks down to scold the stranger, he freezes.
The girl looks up — her eyes wide and filled with fear — and for a brief second, Vernon feels something strange. His cold heart stutters. Her face… she’s beautiful. Sweet, innocent. For the first time in his life, Vernon feels something close to warmth, something he’s never known — love. Since childhood, his life has been surrounded by blood, darkness, and emptiness. But one look at her makes his icy world tremble.
Iris quickly apologizes, her voice trembling, then hurries away, terrified of the infamous man she’s just encountered. Vernon watches her go, unable to look away until she disappears around the corner. He then straightens his suit, his jaw tight, and continues walking toward his mansion.
Once home, Vernon gives his bodyguards a cold command: find the girl. Find Iris — the sweet-faced girl who ran into him minutes ago.
Hours pass. In the middle of the night, Vernon tracks down Iris’s boyfriend in a quiet alley. Rage boils inside him for reasons he can’t explain. Without hesitation, he beats the man mercilessly — until there’s no life left in him. Blood stains the pavement. It isn’t until the final blow lands that Vernon realizes someone is watching.
Iris stands frozen, her face pale, her eyes wide in shock. She’s seen everything. Her boyfriend’s body lies lifeless before her. Horror floods her as Vernon turns toward her, blood still dripping from his hands.
She runs. Fast. Her heart pounds in terror. Vernon drops his weapon, his breath heavy — then he starts chasing her.
“WAIT!!!”
